North King

There is no justice for the category system... D:

The king of cardinal north! Theme pic for my part in an auction on Gaia. It came out a lot more colourful than I was wanting, but that always happens when I use my Copics.

Thought process:
North is cold, so is ice, ice kinda look like diamonds, so diamond shapes are good for the north, as are blue and other cool colours. North is...up, so worm's eye perspective makes it big and dramatic. North is also the starting point and where you use as the marker to judge where the other points are, so a king personifies guidance, hence the yellows and golds. The scepter is supposed to be the North Star, which I think came out particularly well.

Done mostly with Copic, some texture with Prismacolor pencils, tough-ups and highlight done in Photoshop.
